Women-Owned Business Window Decal Design Contest

Women’s Business Center of Utah is excited to host an open design contest!

WBCUtah will be making and distributing window decals to women-owned and operated businesses across the state. The purpose of the decals is to give recognition to and encourage support of women-owned businesses. For home-based businesses, digital decals will be available for their website. We are reaching out to our community for design ideas for the decals.

SEE OFFICIAL RULES

The winning design should reflect being a woman business owner in Utah. The WBCUtah logo (the white logo or the color logo) will be incorporated into the final design. The design can be a simple graphic, a picture of a hand-sketch (we will digitize) or something more complex. We want to see something that women business owners will be proud to display in their window, to show others that they are a woman-owned business.

We are intentionally leaving room for creativity. There is no specific size or shape in mind, we leave that up to you.

WBCUtah staff will narrow down the designs to three finalists. Those final designs will be shared and voted for on WBCUtah social media. Please read full contest rules and submit your design!

Celebrating 20 Years at the WBC: Looking Back

An Interview with the Former WBC Executive Director Ramona Rudart

Q: What was it like when the Women’s Business Center first started?

A: Because all of our work had to be done within the time parameters of the OWBO grant, the initial phase of the WBC felt like building a road while trying to drive on it.Read More

Welcome to the New VISTA!

Welcome to the New VISTA!

This week we got a new VISTA, Tori Crookshank! Tori will be over the ethnic minority and refugee outreach program for the Women’s Business Center. I love having a fellow VISTA on-site with me. She is smart, driven, professional, and fun. I have enjoyed being able to give her advice and share my experiences thus far so that she can be successful in her new role. Tori is also a fellow Family Life major and BYU Cougar! It’s nice to have someone in the office who shares my love for BYU when almost everyone in the office graduated from the University of Utah! I’m looking forward to working more with Tori in our concerted effort to help women across the state of Utah build confidence, create opportunities, and experience success!
