The Women in Business Summer Social, held each August, is a fundraising event which brings together prominent Utah women for a fun evening of live music, mingling, booths, silent auction, and delicious food all in support of the Women’s Business Center of Utah. Each year at this event, we present the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award.

2020 Disco Biz Bash
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we took our Summer Social virtual with the 1970s-themed Disco Biz Bash.
2019 Summer Social
The 2019 Summer Social was held at Clubhouse SLC and was 1920s-themed. WBCUtah clients were featured at tables showcasing their products throughout the room, and guests met and mingled to the tunes of a live jazz band. Big Shot Photo Group provided a photo booth, Nordstrom offered makeovers, and Presto Print helped us create a photo gallery of our clients. The Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award was presented to Kamea Johnson, owner of Chosen Creative.

2018 Summer Social
The 2018 Summer Social honored Sasha Taylor, owner of Snap Shop Photo, as the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year and was held at Ivy House Weddings and Events.
2017 Summer Social
The 2017 Summer Social honored Dr. Shannon Simonelli, owner of Luminous Life Maps, as the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.
