Next Step Program

Do you have poor financial control of your business or lack of profit? Struggling with brand identity? Maybe having difficulty recruiting or retaining employees? The Next Step program is for you.

Program Description

WBCUtah’s Next Step program is a virtual 9-week, project-based cohort program, to help women business owners organize their business operations, including strengthening their value proposition to customers and employees, as well as how they generate revenue and control finances. Next Step combines group in-person deep dive training sessions led by WBCUtah team members with guest subject matter experts, with Zoom video group debriefs, online training course prep work, homework projects and an individual mentor for support throughout the entire program. Next Step program creates a peer-based experience in a learning and action-oriented environment where participants will create valuable company documents and implement internal processes for long-term sustainability of their businesses.

Eligibility Requirements

Owner with Employees

  • Client of WBCUtah (client profile + participated in advising session) 

  • Owner of a registered & licensed Utah business

  • Business is generating revenue

  • Have at least 1 employee (besides the ownership)

Solopreneur

  • Client of WBCUtah (client profile + participated in advising session) 

  • Owner of a registered & licensed Utah business

  • Business is generating revenue

  • Have no employees

Application and Selection Process

Cohort for owners with employees:

  1. Complete and submit Next Step Program Application by July 3, 2020.

  2. If selected (July 7, 2020), complete and sign a participation agreement (commitment of attendance and participation, media/photo release/waiver and post surveys responses) Due July 20, 2020.

  3. Be prepared to start on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.

     

Cohort for solopreneurs:

  1. Apply by August 23, 2020.

  2. If selected (September 3, 2020), complete and sign a participation agreement (commitment of attendance and participation, media/photo release/waiver and post surveys responses) Due September 16, 2020.

  3. Be prepared to start on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.
